Each year, donor generosity enables UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation to award scholarships to UCHealth northern Colorado employees interested in furthering career-related skills. For our 2020–21 scholarship cycle, $85,000 was awarded to 47 recipients.

The gift, made through UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation, will support testing costs for underinsured people and help with ongoing patient needs associated with pandemic.

The generosity of private donors and community business partners, as well as many of our fellow employees, has enabled us to award more than $390,000 in scholarships to 334 UCHealth employees since 2010.

At UCHealth, the culture of philanthropy is strong. Employees donate generously via our Employee Giving program to support our mission to deliver world-class health care. They also support each other through gifts to employee hardship relief and scholarship funds.

UCHealth Greeley Hospital just marked its first birthday after caring for thousands of patients and playing a key role in the fight against COVID-19 in one of the hardest-hit counties in the state. “This was an exciting and yet challenging year that helped us build the foundation of Greeley Hospital,” said Marilyn Schock, president of the hospital. “The community will be depending on us for this excellent care for years to come. I am so proud of the work our team has done and all of the lives they’ve touched.”

Funds raised at our 2019 Spring Benefit, to advance local medical research, are being used to help COVID-19 patients.

We are deeply grateful for the support our community has provided during the pandemic. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the individuals and businesses that gave in-kind gifts—supplies, equipment, food, services and more—to support our health care heroes in the battle against COVID-19.

On April 27, UCHealth began resuming a limited number of medically necessary surgeries and procedures. The decision is based on careful research and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
