WISH, a program of UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation, was formed by a group of local women to support the health needs of our community through UCHealth programs, projects, and services provided in Larimer and Weld counties. The group was founded on the principal that when we join together to do good, the positive effect is magnified. More than a half million dollars in WISH awards have been distributed since the program’s founding in 2013.
The UCHealth Children’s Therapy Services clinic in Fort Collins has received several awards from WISH. WISH funding has helped the clinic purchase smartwatches to help children and adolescents build skills of self-awareness and self-regulation, tablets for alternative and augmentative communication for speech and language services, and a biofeedback system to address urinary and fecal incontinence.
