Our community has reached out in myriad ways to help health care workers as they care for COVID-19 patients. Individuals and organizations have given money, food, services and supplies. Every donation matters, and every donation helps. We are grateful for each contribution and would like to highlight a few from some of our community’s business mainstays.

Advanced Energy donated respirators (protective masks) and other supplies to help safeguard our front-line staff. “We wanted to help our greater community handle the pandemic and were happy to be able to provide this equipment,” said Brad Foster, supply chain manager at Advanced Energy.

Otter Products, the parent company of brands such as OtterBox and LifeProof based in Fort Collins, donated more than 3,000 wireless power banks to our health care teams to keep their phones, tablets and laptops charged as they work long shifts to care for patients fighting the virus. “You are the key soldiers on the front line of this battle, and we thank you,” said the team at Otter Products.

Waterpik Oral Health and Waterpik Showers donated care packages to our health care workers for their homes. Each package contained home cleaning and personal care items as well as a Waterpik Water Flosser and a Waterpik replacement shower head.

In an April 10 video message, Kevin Unger, president and CEO of UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital and Medical Center of the Rockies, said, “The community has been outstanding. . . . Thank you, all our great community partners.”

The support, love, creativity and generosity our community has shown strengthens and buoys our health care heroes. Thank you.

Waterpik staffers dropped off donations for our health care workers at the foundation’s office on Harmony Road.
