UCHealth Nursing Professional Certifications
UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation is proud to support nurses at Greeley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies and Poudre Valley Hospital in achieving professional board certifications and re-certifications. This fund offers financial assistance for certification, re-certification and preparatory courses, helping nurses advance their expertise and reinforce our standard of care.
Supporting UCHealth Nurses
Together, we’re empowering our nurses to achieve excellence and elevate care for patients and our community.
To qualify, certifications must be job-related, but not required in the nurse’s job description, and elevate UCHealth’s quality of care. Board certifications validate nursing expertise, support professional growth and uphold high standards in patient care and safety. Certified nurses help improve patient outcomes, strengthen engagement and enhance our culture of nursing excellence.
Below are notes of gratitude from Amy and Shannen, each reflecting on the impact of this program.
Amy L., Trauma Nurse
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the work you’ve done to establish the partnership with the Northern Colorado Foundation and the Nursing Professional Board Certification Fund. Your efforts have created a wonderful opportunity for nursing professionals to further invest in their careers and advance their impact in our community.
I truly appreciate your dedication and collaboration in making this initiative possible. I was able to successfully pass by TCRN (Trauma Certified Registered Nurse yesterday! I am so excited over this accomplishment and humbled to work alongside you ladies and for a wonderful organization.
Shannen E., Trauma Nurse
I wanted to extend my sincere thanks for awarding me the grant to pursue the Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) credential. I am truly grateful for this support and the opportunity to continue advancing my knowledge in trauma care.
This grant has allowed me to deepen my expertise and bring updated, evidence-based practices back to our team. I look forward to sharing the knowledge gained through this certification with our trauma surgeons, APPs, and nursing staff to help ensure we remain aligned with the most current nationally recognized standards. By strengthening our collective practice, we can continue providing premier care and optimizing outcomes for our trauma patients.
Thank you again for this meaningful opportunity and for supporting continued professional development within our trauma program and UCHealth as an organization.
