  4. Patient-Centered Care: At UCHealth, we prioritize the needs and preferences of our patients. Our patient-centered approach includes comprehensive support services such as counseling, nutrition advice, and financial assistance, ensuring that patients and their families receive holistic care throughout their cancer journey.
  5. Community Engagement and Education: We believe in the power of community and are dedicated to educating and engaging with the public about cancer prevention and early detection. Through community outreach programs, educational workshops, and support groups, we empower individuals to take control of their health and support those affected by cancer.

Give to support oncology patients and their families in northern Colorado

A new oncology patient can have upwards of 100 appointments within their first-year post-diagnosis. The impact on both the patient and their family is significant, especially when it comes to finances.

Your generosity helps our cancer care team provide vital support to patients facing the financial burdens that come with a cancer diagnosis.

Contributions directly assist with essential expenses that insurance does not cover, such as:

    • Household expenses: rent, mortgage, utilities, phone bills
    • Medical expenses: medical bills and co-pays, prescriptions, medical insurance premiums
    • Access-to-care expenses: transportation, daycare, car payment, gasoline, insurance premiums

    Kyle's Story

Kyle and his wife live 1.5 hours from the Harmony Cancer Center in a small mountain town. After his cancer diagnosis, the distance became a barrier to receiving treatment, especially during the winter when they were snowed in multiple times. Thanks to assistance funds, Kyle was able to secure temporary housing in Fort Collins, allowing him to stay near the Cancer Center during his treatment.

“We would not have been able to pay for this out of pocket given our limited funds. We are grateful there are community members who care enough to support us on this journey.”

At UCHealth, we remain dedicated to keeping cancer care close to home, allowing patients to focus on healing. With your generous support, they can worry less about day-to-day expenses and more about their treatment and recovery.
