“I cannot express how thankful I am to have your help in supporting my further graduate education in clinical mental health counseling. It is my passion to pursue this degree so that I can work with first responders providing therapy and training that will help us to retain the quality providers we have invested in. These providers are full of expertise because of their experiences. They have spent their lives sacrificing and helping others. It is overdue that we help them be their best. I am grateful to have the support of UCHealth to help offset some of the cost of this education so that I can do more of what I love for our people.”
— Jeanette Jennings, emergency medical technician
“Thank you for providing me with a scholarship as I pursue my adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner degree from Georgetown University. I am a passionate registered nurse, and working for UCHealth has been one of the biggest blessings of my career. I am grateful to work for an organization that encourages their employees to grow, both at work and in their educational pursuits.”
—Shon Hernandez, registered nurse

Recipients of UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation’s 2019–20 employee scholarships were recognized at the foundation’s Celebration of Caring event, Sept. 26, 2019. Through donor generosity, the foundation awarded $74,600 in scholarships to 40 employees for 2019–20. Scholarships help UCHealth employees gain new skills and knowledge, which they, in turn, use to provide exceptional care for the thousands of patients whose lives they will touch.
