At UCHealth, the culture of philanthropy is strong. Employees donate generously via our Employee Giving program to support our mission to deliver world-class health care. They also support each other through gifts to employee hardship relief and scholarship funds.

Employees at UCHealth northern Colorado locations donated $405,000 in 2019 to support numerous causes, such as cancer care, emergency services, employee scholarships and trauma care. The UCHealth Cancer Center – Harmony Campus, opened in 2014, was built with help from philanthropic support, including more than $1 million from UCHealth employees.

Tammy Piccone, director of nursing for UCHealth Greeley Hospital’s birth center, is just one example of employee generosity. Piccone made a $10,000 commitment to support Greeley Hospital’s Women and Children’s Services fund. Piccone’s gift qualified her to join the Greeley Hospital Founders Society.

Choosing to donate an amount that brought her into the Founders Society “was an easy decision,” Piccone said, “because it is truly an honor for me to be part of the UCHealth mission to provide medical care close to home for Greeley and Weld County. I’m proud that my membership in the Founders Society supports the work that is done every day to care for the community.”

You already knew that health care heroes work here. Now you know our employees go above and beyond their work by giving to support health causes they are passionate about.
